Jul 01,  · referencing Degenerate, CD, Album + CD, Comp, ZIQCD In the early days of Planet Mu I thought that this label would only copy IDM sounds of WARP Records, Rephlex or Skam. Unfortunately WARP went "Pop" by nearly releasing wealrepebobysctab.tiolassiolulnedodarubisdilecon.co stuff, Schematic and Skam nearly stopped releasing Music and Sublight declared their bankrupt in /5().

Jun 05,  · And here we have Vex'd 's Degenerate album. Once you put it into your CD player you can't stand still, you HAVE to dance. Enormous beats with the precision of Kraftwerk and the sharpness of Industrial. JUST great. In my opinion one of the best Dubstep albums with Burial and the latest afford of Meat Beat Manifesto ("Autoimmune"). Well, excuse /5().

Degenerate features 12 tracks of dark electronic dub and industrial rhythms. Influenced Grime and Dubstep as well as the electronic underground scene - Vex'd have a truly unique sound. Their distorted repetitive waves of bass have more in common with early Aphex, bleep & bass or twisted techstep than the rest of the dubstep scene.

The sort of music which accurately summarizes the New Labour era is epitomized well by Degenerate, an industrial proto-dubstep warhead from Vex’d. Dubstep rose from the ashes as one of the most invigorating musical movements of s Britain, and Degenerate has been cited as the first album of the genre/5(8).

More quality comes from the addition of spooky interludes, like the eerie "Cold," the explicit "Cruhser Dub," and the anxious echoing "Destruction," plus the amazing idea of adding a second /5(6).

Reissue of Vex'd's game changer Degenerate. Coming 11 years after its original release, Degenerate still sounds quite unlike anything else from the dubstep scene it was born out of. Coming at a time when everyone was meditating on bass weight, Vex'd kicked the doors down and smashed up the stereo with this absolutely rippin' affair.

Label: Planet Mu Format: 2CD,2LP London duo Vex’d are to be found operating at the murky point where dubstep meets bleep, where grimey shivers fuss and bass drops rumble. The sounds collected on Degenerate take the momentum of dark drum’n’bass into yet edgier territory; the kind of places Witchman was hinting at years back, but with a particular atmosphere which is .
